Drawing upon 10+ years of intercooler manufacture and design, the ETS BMW 335i intercoolers are the best thermal upgrade possible for your n54/n55. These is absolutely no cutting or trimming (5″), install time of 1hr, and power gains over 20whp with consistent back to back pulls.

Note how the inlet and outlets are staggered. The inlet is at the top of the cooler and the outlet is at the bottom. This design will force the air to flow through the whole cooler, not just straight across as if both inlet and outlets were on the top.
