Description

ZL1 Addons Stage 1 Hood Vents for the 2010–2015 Camaro are designed to improve engine bay heat extraction and aerodynamic efficiency while working within the constraints of the factory hood structure.

When the hood liner is removed, these vents install into pre-existing openings in the OEM hood structure. This allows you to retain the factory under-hood reinforcement with no modifications to the hood’s internal structure, making Stage 1 the most straightforward and OEM-friendly option in the lineup.

Hood Vent Stages Explained

ZL1 Addons hood vents are offered in three stages, each increasing in installation complexity and performance:

• Stage 1:
  Installs into existing factory openings while maintaining hood structure integrity. Improves cooling and aero with minimal modification.

• Stage 2:
  Expands factory openings slightly without compromising hood strength, offering increased cooling and airflow benefits.

• Stage 3:
  Requires more extensive hood modification and is designed for maximum heat extraction and aerodynamic performance.

Installation Notes & Considerations

• Installation requires cutting openings in the hood, which is permanent

• Use the vents as a template and measure carefully before cutting

• Cutting allows water exposure—vehicles parked outdoors should use a water-resistant cover

• Installing B & D vents may require starting cuts slightly smaller, as hood structure placement can vary
